Our Story
It was October, 2022 when we first matched on Hinge; Sarah was dipping her toes back into dating, Vaibhav was exhausted from going on too many dates. We met up at The Cove in Hyde Park (IYKYK). Drinks were mediocre, music was loud, but the weather was nice. After about an hour, Vaibhav offered to walk Sarah home; Sarah went against her independent nature and said yes. Best idea each of us have ever had? Maybe.
In the next few months, we explored restaurants, went on long walks, cooked Thanksgiving dinner, and took a vacation to Mexico City – it was there that we both realised we had found someone special. Over the next year, we’ve made a home together, Vaibhav has been accepted as a secondary cat-parent (5-star review from Mayhem), and we’ve continued to grow into our new relationship as partners and spouses. We’re excited to celebrate our union in August, bringing together our friends and family in our beloved Chicago.
